British cruiser HMS Colombo intended to visit Japan and Korea according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary Nr. 10 for the week ending 11 September 1920

An item reported that the British cruiser HMS Colombo would probably leave Wei-hai-Wei around 29 September towards Japan and Korea, returning at Shanghai, China on 30 October.(1)

Note

1. Part of the C-class light cruisers Carlisle sub-class, preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class. Laid down by Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, Glasgow, Scotland on 8 December 1917, launched on 18 December 1918, commissioned on 18 June 1919, converted into an anti aircraft cruiser between June 1942-March 1943 and sold to be broken up on 22 January 1948.
