British protected cruiser HMS Cambrian visited Dutch East Indies in 1905

The Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1905-1906 reported that the Cambrian (1) visited Tandjong-Priok, Dutch East Indies between 29 November-3 December 1905. The Dutch newspaper Scheepvaart dated 1 December reported her arrival on 29 November and the intended departure on 3 December.

1. Built under the Naval Defence Act of 1889. Part of the Astraea-class protected cruisers consisting of the Astraea, Hermione, Charybdis, Bonaventure, Cambrian, Flora, Forte and Fox, preceded by the Apollo-class and succeeded by the Eclipse-class. Laid down by Pembroke Dockyard, England in 1891, launched on 30 January 1893, completed in September 1894, converted into a base ship and renamed HMS Harlich in March 1916, renamed HMS Vivid in September 1921 and sold to Young, Southerland to be broken up in broken up.
