An item reported that according to the press an Allied naval force attacked the Ladrone Islands (Marianas Islands, north of Guam. The J.I.C. commented that she was not aware of the Japanese press reporting attacks on 24 Wake Island (24 February), Marcus Island (4 March) or on the Ladrone Islands.
