An item reported that the British battleship HMS Monarch (1) left Portsmouth, England bound for Gibraltar and Malta. Embarked on her were relief crews for the HMS cruiser Calypso (2), Dwarf (3), Seraph (4), Swallow (5) , Tobago (6) and Torch (7).

Orion-class battleship, preceded by Colossus-class, succeeded by King George V-class, laid down by Armstrong Whitworth, Elswick, England on 1 April 1910, launched on 30 March 1911, commissioned on 27 April 1912, decommissioned on 5 May 1922, stricken in October 1923 and sunk while used as a target on 21 January 1925.
2. C-class light cruiser Caledon sub-class, preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class, laid down by Hawthorn Leslie and Company, Hebburn, England on 17 February 1916, launched on 24 January 1917, commissioned on 21 June 1917 and sunk on 12 June 1940 by the Italian submarine Alpino Bagnolini.
2. Bramble-1st class gunboat, preceded by Redbreast-class, laid down by London&Glasgow, Govan, Scotland on 2 December 1897, launched on 15 November 1898, commissioned on 31 august 1899, paid of around 1925 and sold to be broken up in 1926.

S-class destroyer, preceded by R and W-classes, succeeded by modified W-class, building ordered under the Eleventh War Construction Programme on 7 April 1917, laid down by Denny, Dumbarton, Scotland with yard number 1099 on 10 October 1917, launched on 8 July 1918, completed on 25 December 1918, decommissioned on 7 May 1934 and sold to be scrapped.
5. S-class destroyer, preceded by R and W-classes, succeeded by modified W-class, building ordered under the Eleventh War Construction Programme on 7 April 1917, laid down by Scotts, Greenock, Scotland with yard number 491 in September 1917, launched on 1 August 1918, completed on 27 September 1918, stricken on 24 September 1936 and scrapped.
6. S-class destroyer, preceded by R and W-classes, succeeded by modified W-class, building ordered under the Eleventh War Construction Programme in April 1917, laid down by John I. Thornycroft&Company Limited, England in May 1917, launched on 15 July 1918, commissioned in October 1918, decommissioned on 15 December 1920 and sold to be broken up in Malta on 9 February 1922.
7. S-class destroyer, preceded by R and W-classes, succeeded by modified W-class, building ordered under the Eleventh War Construction Programme in 1917, laid down by Yarrow&Company Limited, Glasgow, Scotland in April 1917, launched on 16 March 1918, completed on 11 May 1918 and sold to be broken up on 19 November 1929.
