An item reported that a Japanese convoy underway to the Milne Bay, south east New Guinea was in the evening of 25 August attacked by Allied aircraft. The convoy included 3 light cruisers or destroyers, 2 gunboats (one probably sunk), 2 tankers and 2-8,000 tons transports (which were machine-gunned).
