Norwegian whaler returned home but some German whalers captured by French according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 20 August 1707

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 19 August reported the arrival of a small merchant vessel coming van Bergen, Norway. Her master said that before his departure a Norwegian Greenland whaler of Bergen 1 whale 40 barrels arrived and according to her commandeur captured the Basques some whalers of Hamburg, Germany and who spoke some Dutch whalers with 1, 2 and 3 whales.
