German light cruiser SMS Dresden in Mexiacan waters according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 17 April 1914

An item dated Berlin, Germany 16th reported that the German cruiser Dresden steaming in Mexican waters was ordered to go towards Tampico.(1)

1. Was there to protect German interests during the Mexican Revolution. Of the Dresden-class light cruisers, preceded by Königsberg-class, succeeded by Kolberg-class, laid down by Blohm&Voss, Hamburg, Germany with yard number 195 in1906, launched on 14 November 1908, commissioned on 14 November 1908, participated in the Battles of Coronel and the Falkland Islands against the British Royal Navy as part of the German East Asia Squadron and scuttled off Robinson Crusoe Island on 14 March 1915.
