German sailing school ship (ex-San Antonio 1909-1973, Ardiane 1973-1982) Grossherzogin Elisabeth 1982-

Germany-flagged, homeport Elsfleth, IMO 5309413, MMSI 211205920 and call sign DGEN. Gross register tonnage 463 tons and as dimensions 63,7 x 8,23 x 2,7 metres or 209 x 27.0 x 8.10 feet; in 1909 described as 156 x 27 x 12.4 (depth) feet.  Fitted out with 1-400hp/300kW diesel (original 1-160hp Werkspoor engine) and a sail area of 1.010 square metres. Launched by Jan Smit Cz. Smit, Alblasserdam, Netherlands as steel built 3-mast motor schooner San Antonio for account of Andreas Hammerstein, Rotterdam, Netherlands on 19 August 1909, several Dutch owners, between 1965-1973 Swedish owned  until sold to Hartmut Paschburg, Germany in 1973 and used until 1982 as cruise ship Ariadne. In 1982 acquired by the Kreis of Wesermach and became sail training ship Grossherzogin Elisabeth.
