Turkish claimed destroyal of the Russian battleship Sinop according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 6 November 1914

An item dated London, England 4th referred to a telegram received from Sofia, Bulgaria reporting that the Turkish destroyed the Russian battleship Sinope.(1)

Building ordered on 12 July 1882, laid down by ROPiT Shiptard, Sevastopol, Crimea om June 1883, launched on 1 June 1887, completed in 1889, by 1914 guard ship at Sevastopol, British destroyed her machinery in 1919 and begin 1922 broken up.
