The design was number 7 of a set counting 11 designs made between 21-29 April 1915 for a large scout cruiser with a speed of 35 knots. None of the designs was realized.
Dimensions 755 (waterline0 x 70.6 (waterline) x 20.0
feet and a displacement of 16,250 tons. Block coefficient .535, longitudinal
coefficient .594. Turbine propulsion and 8 boiler rooms. Speed 35 knots and a
range of 12,000 nautical miles/10 knots speed. The armament consisted of 1x2-36.5
cm/14” breech loading guns, 9-12.7cm/5”quick firing guns as a torpedo defence
battery and 4-7.2cm/3” anti aircraft guns. The armour consisted of a main side
belt with an extreme width of 17.6’, depth below the waterline 5.0’ and a
thickness of 4” and a 1.5” thick protective deck.
