American scout cruiser design dated May 1915

Part of a series of 11 designs dating from 21-29 April 1915 to examine the trade offs for comparison armament-armor-size of 35-knots cruisers. The designs were never realized. Dimensions 720 (waterline) x 65.0 (waterline) x 17.6 feet and displacement 12,650 tons. Block coefficient .535. Long coefficient .601. Turbine propulsion with 7 boiler rooms with 54,500hp speed of 35 knots and a range of 12,000 nautical miles/10 knots. Armament consisted of 2-35.56cm/14” breech loading guns, 9-12.7cm/5” quick firing guns and 4-7.62cm/3” anti aircraft guns. No armor.
