British protected cruiser HMS Prometheus visited Amboina, Dutch East Indies in 1906

The Jaarboek van de Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeemacht 1906-1907 reported that the British cruiser HMS Prometheus visited Amboina, Dutch East Indies between 10-12 October 1906. Visit not mentioned in local newspapers.(1)

1. Part of the Pelorus-class cruisers, preceded by Arrogant-class, succeeded by Highflyer-laid down by Earle’s Shipbuilding, Hull, England in 1897, launched on 20 October 1909 and sold to be broken up on 28 May 1914.
