British light cruiser HMS Birmingham to return home according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 9 dated 5 March 1921

An item reported that the British light cruiser HMS Birmingham was to return home from the Africa Station when the refit of HMS Lowestoft was completed.(1)

Note

1. Part of Town-class light cruisers, succeeded by Arethusa-class, building ordered under the 1911 Naval Estimates, laid down with yard number 851 by Armstrong Whitworth, Elswick on 10 June 1912, launched on 7 May 1913, completed on 30 January 1914, commissioned in February 1914 and sold to be broken up in February 1931.
