British sloop HMS Clematis was to transport Egyptian revolutionary Zagloul Pasha to the Seychelles according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 8 dated 25 February 1922

An item reported that while the ss Neuralia was delayed the British HMS sloop Clematis (1) was sent to Aden to embark there Zagloul Pasha (2) and bring him to Seychelles. While his stay at Aden was lengthened rumours suggested that he was allowed to return to Egypt.

Notes

1. Part of the Azalea-class sloops, preceded by Acacia-class, succeeded by Arabis-class, launched by Barclay Curle&Company, Whiteinch, Scotland on 10 September 1915 and sold to be broken up on 1 February 1923.

2. Saad Zaghloul (July 1859-23 August1927, an Egyptian revolutionary, statesmen and prime minster between 26 January-24 November 1924. Due to his worse health brought from the Seychelles to Gibraltar and released in 1923.
