Dutch Nevesbu 1,420 tons light frigate design around 1968

Based on an advertisement published in Jane Fighting Ships’s 1968 edition

Standard displacement 1,420 tons with as dimensions 288.9 (between perpendiculars)-308.5 (over all) x 35.11 (moulded on waterline) x 20.10 (depth moulded) x 10.4 (standard) feet. The 4 diesel engines supplied 4,250 bhp horsepower. Fuel oil bunker capacity 140 tons. Crew numbered 120 men. Armament consisted of 1 lightweight helicopter, 1-12cm automatic single l/46 remote controlled dual purpose gun (foreship), 2x1-57mm automatic single L/60 remote controlled anti aircraft guns (aft) and 1-37.5cm four-barreled anti submarine remote controlled rocket launcher (before bridge house). Fire control system with target indication, warning radars, director, sonars and plotting equipment. Fitted out with extensive communications equipment and and arrangement for nuclear-biological-chemical (NBC) protection. Nevesbu=Nederlandsche Vereenigde Scheepsbouw Bureaux established by the major Dutch shipyards like the Kon. Mij. De Schelde, Vlissingen, Netherlands.
