French armoured cruiser Desaix returned home according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 9 dated 5 March 1921

An item reported that the French armoured cruiser Desaix (1) arrived at Toulon, France returning from the Far Eastern Division where she was replaced by the Montcalm.(2)

Notes

1. Part of Dupliex-class armoured cruisers, preceded by Gueydon-class, succeeded by Gloire-class building ordered on 28 December 1897, laid down by Ateliers et Chantiers de la Loire, Nantes, France in begin 1899, launched on 21 March 1901, commissioned on 5 April 1904, stricken on 27 July 1921 and broken up in 1927.

2. Part of Gueydon-class armoured cruisers, preceded by Jeanne d’Arc and succeeded by Dupleix-class, laid down by Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerannée on 27 September 1898, launched on 27 March 1902, commissioned on 24 March 1902, stricken on 28 October 1926, accommodation ship since 28 October 1928, renamed Tréminton on 26 September 1934 and sunk by the British Royal Air Force at Brest, France on 16 August 1944.
