Laid down by Stocznia Pólnocna, Gdánsk, Poland on 9 June 1984, launched on 11 May 1986, commissioned as the first ocean-going Polish built warship. Designing started far back as in 1971. Served between 1990-January 1991 in the Border guard. MMSI 261227000 and call sign SNWC. Displacement 1,068 (standard)-1,202 (full loaded) tons and as dimensions 82.34 x 10 x 3.1 (hull)-4.9 (sonar dome) metres or 270.2 x 32.10 x 10.2-16.1 feet. The propulsion consists of 4 Cegieski-Sulzer AS 16V 25/30 diesels supplying 16,660shp/12.42 MW allowing a speed of 27 knots and a range pf 3,500 nautical miles/14 knots. Crew numbers 87 men. Armament consists of 1-76mm AK-176 gun, 1-35mm AM-35 Tryton cannon, 2x2-23mm ZU-23-2M Wrobel cannon, 29K3M Strela 2M surface-to-air missiles, 2 RBU-6000 anti submarine rocket launchers and 2x2-53.3cm/21” torpedo tubes.
