Royal Netherlands Navy personnel discussing future according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 9 dated 5 March 1921

An item referred to the Dutch press which reported that conciliation boards composed of all ranks were to be established to discuss and redress grievances in the Royal Netherlands Navy.(1)

Note

1. In 1920 started a defense commission with as chairman captain A.F. Gooszen to investigate the needs of the defence of the Dutch East Indies. The final report was not accepted. The government commission Patijn (vlootwetcommissie) wrote in 1923 a new Fleet Law 1924 which in 1923 was not accepted by the Second Chamber causing on large scale disappointment within the navy.
