Brazilian Fleet Union collecting money for a fourth battleship according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1910-1911 no.8

An item reported that the Brazilian Fleet Union started a national collection to be able to offer the cabinet a fourth battleship with a measurement of 32.000 ton to be named Riachuelo.(1)

Note

1. Building ordered at Armstrong Whitworth shipyard, Elswick, England on 12 May 1914, to be laid down on 10 September 1914 but delayed while the First World War broke out in August 1914 and finally cancelled on 13 May 1915.
