Dutch whaling fluyt ship De Alida en Dirk for sale at auction at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1783

Shipbrokers Claas Mol, Jacob de Flines, Albertus Kramp, Barend Bosch and Willem Hoenson. Auction at Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement, Haarlemmerdyk, Amsterdam on Monday 20 October 1783 at 17:00 o’clock of the Dutch whaling fluytship De Alida en Dirk, commandeur Jan Hanssen. Built in 1764, partly doubled with a hull of oak in 1778 and rigging partly renewed in 1783. Lying at the Bikkers Boom. Dimensions 113 (prow) x 29.7 (first beam before large hatch within the hull) x 12.7½ (depth of hold at first beam before large hatch on load line) x 6.8 (height verdeck first beam before large hatch) x 9.2½ (height steering wheel area), all in Amsterdam foot. Sold for ƒ 12,550 to Dirk Jansen szoon.
