Enemy submarines active off Brazilian coast according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 18 August 1942

An item reported that the losses of ships off the Brazilian coast south of Cape San Roque pointed out that enemy submarines were also in that area became active.(1)
