American military transport design C4-S-A3 in 1946

A military transport which would after the reconversion into a cargo vessel had similar characteristics to the modified C4-S-A4 design. Fulll scantling. Accommodation for 4 persons, 2 staterooms. Dimensions 552.10½ (over all) x 71.6 (molded) x 43.6 (molded depth) x 32.9 (load draught molded) feet, deadweight 15,540 tons, gross tonnage 10,680 tons, net tonnage 7,490 tons and bale capacity 672,240 cubic feet. The turbine propulsion supplied 9,000 shp normal allowing a speed of 16,5 knots.
