American revenue cutter USRC Windon 1896-1930

Of the United states Revenue Cutter Service. Built by Iowa Iron Works, Dubuque, Iowa, USA in 1896, delivered and accepted on 1 May 1896, commissioned on 30 June 1896, renamed USCGC Comanche on 13 December 1915, served as the USS Comanche in the navy during the war and afterwards until 28 August 1919 and sold on 13 November 1930. Displacement 544 tons and as dimensions 52.20 x 8.2 x 2.51 metres or 170.8 x 27 x 8.3 feet. Propulsion consisted of 2-800hp inverted cylinder triple epansion direct acting steam engines supplied via 2 shafts allowing a speed of 15 knots. Crew numbered 49 men. Armament consisted of 1-7.6cm/3” gun ad 2-6pd guns.
