An item reported the receive on 31 January of a report sent by Naval Control, Berlin, Germany that the Russian steamship Subotnik departed on 30 January Hamburg, Germany bound for Stettin [Germany, nowadays Poland] without informing the N.I.A.C.C. or permission of the German Port Authorities. It was believed that she was loaded with war material for Russia so the stop at Stettin was doubtful.
