Dutch passenger-cargo steam ship Camphuijs or Camphuys 1903-1942

Call sign TCKB, 1924 TBSP and in 1933 PKER. Laid down with yard number 54 by N.V. Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw-Maatschappij, Amsterdam, Netherlands on 22 April 1903, launched on 18 November 1903, delivered on 7 January 1904 to the N.V. Koninklijke Paketvaart-Maatschappij, Batavia, Dutch East Indies, converted at Batavia into a cattle transport in 1904, in service with the Royal Netherlands Navy as auxiliary vessel 1914-1918 and shelled and set afire by the Japanese submarine I 58 underway from Banjoewangi to Singapore in the Java Sea north of Mandalika on 9 January 1942. Gross tonnage 2,776 tons, net tonnage 1,696 tons, deadweight 2,856 tons, grain cargo capacity 115,000 cubic feet, bale cargo capacity 92,000 cubic feet and as imensions 96,62 x 12,62 x 8,20 (depth) metres.
