Former Belgian inland patrol vessel Liberation (V902) 1954-

Belgium-flagged, homeport KMK-Leopoldsburg, MMSI 205533290 and call sign OT5332. P 902. Used for patrol duties on the Rhine in the 1950s which flotilla was condemned in 1960 and in 1963 stationed at the naval base of Kallo for patrol and anti pollution duties on the Schelde and in the harbour of Antwerp, paid off in June 1987,in 1989 transferred to the naval base at Zeebrugge, overhauled and recommissioned in actual service in March 1990 and served until 2010 for representative duties. Sold to the Koninklijk Marine Kadettenkorps in 2012 and restored by Gardec, Zeebrugge between 2015-2016. Built by Theodor Hitzler, Regensburg, Germany in 1954 as part of the Libération-class. Crew numbered 7 men. Dimensions 25,6-26,1 x 4,3 x 0,9 metres. Propulsion consisted of 2 John Deere engines allowing a speed of 19.0 knots. Commissioned on 4 August 1954. Armament 2-12.7mm machineguns.
