Scottish shipbuilder John Brown intended to built a nuclear tanker according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 16 July 1957

An item reported that John Brown John Brown&Company, Clydebank, Scotland], an experienced shipbuilder (i.c. the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary) intended to built a 65,000 tons nuclear tanker which was to make her maiden trip within 5 years. Building costs 115 million guilders. The reactor was to built by a company in which John Brown and the aircraft factory Hawker Siddeley had equal interests. The builders of the tanker believed in an positive economic exploitation.
