An item reported that British light cruiser HMS Coventry would visit with Dutch permission Rotterdam 5-10 September and Amsterdam 10-14 September before going to Rosyth, Scotland.(1)

Part of C-class Ceres sub-class light cruisers, preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class, laid down by Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardson, Wallsend-on-Tyne 4 August 1916, launched on 6 July 1917, commissioned on 21 February 1918, converted into an anti-aircraft cruiser in 1935, heavily damaged in a German air attack north-west of Alexandria, Egypt and scuttled on 14 September 1942.
