An item reported that the former naval corvette Justine was by a shipyard at Durban, South Africa converted into a tuna long-line fishing vesse, reported costs R100,000/139,000 US dollars. She was to operate off South Africa.(1)

Building ordered on 21 September 1939, laid down by Charles Hill&Sons, Bristol, England on 28 October 1940, launched on 25 July 1941, completed on 4 November 1941, decommissioned on 4 October in Royal Navy and commissioned in South African Navy as HMSAS Rockrose, renamed Protea in February 1950, decommissioned in January 1957, sold in 1962, renamed Justin in 1963 and broken up in late 1967.
