Japanese tuna fleet mothership Nojima Maru bound for Tahiti according to the Commercial Fisheries Review dated July 1964 No. 7

An item reported that the Japanese tuna fleet mothership Nojima Maru (8,800 gross tonnage) would leave Kobe, Japan on 10 May destined for Tahiti, South Pacific. The problems with signing up enough catcher vessels were in the meantime solved. There were now 65 catchers including 4 scouts contracted and which would bring the caught fish to the mothership
