Japanese whaling in the North Pacific according to the Commercial Fisheries Review dated July 1964 No. 7

An item reported that Japan intended to operating 3 whaling fleets in the North Pacific just like the past. The 3 motherships Kijo Maru (10,912 gross tons), Nitto Matu (12,993 gross tons) and Kyokuyo Maru (11,449 gross tons) were scheduled to leave Japan on 20 May 1964.
