British sloop HMS Valerian cruising in the Caribbean according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 19 for the week ending 27 August 1921

An item reported that the British sloop HMS Valerian was to visit Dominica on 1 September, Barbados on 8 September, Demerara on 22 September and Trinidad on 6 October.(1)

Note

1. Arabis-class minesweeping sloops preceded by Azalea-class succeeded by Aubrieta-class. Laid down by Charles Rennoldson and Company, South Shields in 1915, launched on 21 February 1916, stationed at Royal Navy Dockyard, Bermuda and lost in the Havana-Bermuda hurricane on 22 October 1926.
