An item reported that the German emperor Wilhelm II intended to arrive on 9th July with his yacht Hohenzollern (1) in the harbour of Bodö and from immediately go to the whaling station Skaarö to embark a whaler for a whaling cruise. The rumours that his yacht would be fitted out to act as a whaler were nonsense. A yacht of this size was suitable for such purpose.
