Ex-Washin Maru renamed 1938. Sunk by an US Army mine on 26 May 1945 on the position 33-56 north and 131-10 east. Call sign JCUC. Built by Mitsubishi Zosen Kaisha Ld., Nagasaki, Japan in 1918. Gross tonnage 1,861 tons, net tonnage 1,086 tons deadweight 2,650 tons and as dimensions 250.0 x 37.7 x 20.5 x 6.6 (light)-18.6 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, 138 nhp, coal bunker capacity 228 tons, range 3,500 miles/9 knots and speed 9 (normal cruising)-10.5 (maximum) knots.
