Laid down by by Kawasaki Dockyard Co. Ltd., Kobe, Japan on 15 December 1928, launched on 6 August 1929, completed as a fishery inspection and observation ship on 12 November 1929, requisitioned by the navy on 15 September 1942 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Pollack (SS-180) northeast of Toroshima on 20 March 1944 and stricken on 30 November 1945. Served as a submarine chaser, cargo ship and patrol vessel. Gross tonnage 1,327 tons, under deck 979 tons, net tonnage 620 tons and and as dimensions 225.0 x 36.0 x 20.0 x 15.6 (loaded) feet. Two screws, diesel propulsion, 320 nhp, speed 10 (normal cruising)-13.5 (maximum) knots.
