Japanese shrimp fishery experiment in Caribbean Sea and off the Guianas according to the Commercial Fisheries Review dated August-September 1967 No. 8-9

An item reported that on 23 May the Japanese Fisheries Agency informally approved the aplications of the companies Nichiro Gyogyo, Toyo Shrimp, South Pacific Fishery Cooperative Association, Hakodote Kakai, Hokoku Suisan, Yuaka Gyogyo and Shinyo Gyogyo, their aim was an experiment with operating 35 shrimp vessels in the Caribbean Sea and off the Guianas. At the moment were there already 15 vessels acive with good prospects off the Guianas and profitable operated Mexican fishing vessels.
