An item reported that the German Federal Republic wanted to give Mexico a fishery research vessel with a value of 1 million US dollars. She was to completed in 1968 and built as a 100 feet long practical fishing vessel manned by 10 sailors to which 6 scientists were added. Mexican technicians planned to visit Hamburg to get familiar with the ship.
