To be used for the Colorado-class preceded by the Tennessee-clas succeeded by the planned but no realized South Dakota-class and the realized North Carolina-class. Design not realized. Dimensions 656 (waterline) x 97.5 (waterline) x 30.2 1/2 feet. Electric propulsion, 8 boiler rooms, with 18,700 ehp speed 21 knots , range 10,000 nautical miles/10 knots. Armament 5x2-40.6cm/16”45 cal BLR guns, 22-12.7cm/5” cal 51 anti torpedo quick firing guns. 4 high power and 4 light anti aircraft guns and 4-53.34cm21” submerged torpedo tubes.
