Ordered in 1913 under the 1913-1914 Program. Part of C-class light cruisers, Caroline-sub class, preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class. Consisted of Caroline, Carysfort, Cleopatra, Comus, Conquest and Cordelia. Laid down by Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardson, Wallsend on Tyne on 3 November 1913, launched on 16 December 1914, completed in January 1915, decommissioned in December 1933 and sold to be broken up on 28 July 1934. Displacement 4,287 tons. Displacement 4,287 tons. Armament 2x1-15.2cm/6” breech loading guns, 8x1-10.2cm/4” quick firing guns, 1x1-5.7cm/2.2”/6 pd quick firing anti aircraft gun and 2x2-53.3cm/21” torpedo tubes. Armour consisted of a 2,5cm-1”-7.6cm/3” waterline belt, a 2.5cm/1” deck and conning tower protected by 15.24cm/6”. Speed 28.5 knots.
