An item reported that the British seaplane carrier HMS Ark Royal with on board 30 D.H. 9a aircraft departed on 12 March for Batoum [Batumi, Georgia].

Laid down by Blyth Shipbuilding Company, Blyth, Northumberlands on 7 November 1913, acquired still being in frames in May 1914, building continued as seaplane tender, launched on 5 September 1914, commissioned on 19 December 1914, renamed HMS Pegasus on 21 December 1934, sold on 18 October 1946 and became the Panama-flagged ss Anita owned by R.C. Ellerman and operated by Compania de Navigation Ellanita, rebuilding as a cargo ship started in October 1947, ceased in early 1948, seized for debts on 16 June 1949 and finally sold to be broken up in October 1950.
