Japanese cargo ship Sanzin or Sanjin Maru 1919-1945

Call sign JSLB. Built by Mitsui Bussan Kaisha, Umo, Japan in 1919 and torpedoed and sunk by an American submarine on 14 June 1945. Gross tonnage 2,500 tons, under deck 2,036 tons, net tonnage 1,510 tons, deadweight 3,806 tons and as dimensions 284.5 x 42.5 x 23.0 x 6.6 (light)-19.10 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating populsion, 162 nhp, coal bunker capacity 309 tons, speed 9 (normal cruising)-10 (maximum) knots and a range of 3,700 miles/9 knots.
