Laid down by Kure Naval Arsenal on 14 March 1922, launched on 4 December 1922, completed on 18 May 1924, scuttled of Singapore in 1946 and decommissioned on 3 May 1947. Built under the Eight-Eight Fleet program as the Kamoi-class, but modified as the Ondo-class, preceded by Kamoi and succeeded by Kazahay. Similar to the Shiretoko-class. One planned completed as icebreaker Otomari and one planned completed as food supply ship Mamiya.
