Training facility at Eta Jima of Japanese armed forces according to the Australia Station Intelligence Summary dated 1 September 1956

An item reported that earlier in 9156 the Japanese Defency Agency took the former Naval Academy at Eta Jima over in possession. Since then was started with the training of 200 officers, 200 officer cadets and 753 ratings. The school commanded by rear-admiral K. Oguni was used by the armu, navy and air force. Still the Maritime Self Defence wished that the former status of naval academy was restored.
