Japanese cargo ship Buzyun Maru 1929-1942

Call sign JRPC. Built by Osaka Iron Works, Osaka, Japan in February 1929 and when used as an army cargo ship sunk by the American submarine USS Skipjack (SS-814) off the coast of Indochina on 8 May 1942. Gross tonnage 4,804 tond , under deck 3979 tons, net tonnage 2,730 tons, deadweight 7,279 tons and as dimensions 371.0 x 51.0 x 29.0 x 7.4 (light)-23.8 (loaded) feet. Speed 10 (normal cruising)-11 (maximum) knots, reciprocating propulsion, 346 nhp coal bunker capacity 665 tons and range 5,280 nautical miles/10 knots.
