Laid down by Yokohama Dock Co., Yokohama, Japan in End 1919, launched in 1920, completed on 25 October 1920, served as troop transport, converted into an emergency tanker (Ohkyu Yusosen) by Mitsubishi Jukogyo K.K. between 4 December 1942-5 January 1943 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Ray west off Mindoro on 21 August 1944. Gross tonnage 6,965 tons, under deck 6,443 tons, net tonnage 4,288 tons and dimensions 445.0 x 58.0 x 34.0 x 9 (light)-27 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion. Fitted out for deep tanks for carrying oil in bulk.
