Launched by Consolidated Shipbuilding Corporation on 9 May 1942, delivered to South Korea on 21 January 1952, commissioned on 3 May 1952 and decommissioned on 1 November 1968. Steelt built. Former US Navy submarine chaser. Displacement 280 (standard)-450 (full load) tons and as dimensions 173 2/3 (over all) x 23 x 10 3/4 (maximum) feet. Propulsion consisted of diesels delivering via 2 shafts 2,880 bhp allowing a speed of 20 knots. Crew numbered 80 men. Armament consisted of 1-7.62cm/3”50 cal gun, 1-cm anti aircraft gun and 2-2cm anti aircraft guns.
