Part of the Bogue-class escort carriers, in British service part of Ruler-class escort carriers. As escort carier full load displacement 16,620 tons and as dimensions 151.05 x 21.18 x 7.9 metres or 495.7 x 69.7 x 26 feet. Could carry 24 aircraft with her. AVG-42, later ACV-42. Laid down by the Seattle-Tacoma Shipbuilding Corporation, Seattle, Washington on 31 October 1942, launched on 22 March 1943, reclassified as CVE-42, completed in October 1943, transferred to the British Royal Navy on 3 November 1943, commissioned as HMS Premier, returned to American custody on 2 April 1946, stricken on 21 May 1946, sold for merchant purposes in 1947 and finally broken up at Taiwan in 1974.
