An item reported on 11 February the departure from Danzig by the British light cruiser HMS Danae (1) and destroyer Tenedos (2) and their arrival at Libau [Liepaja, Latvia].

1. Part of Danae or D-class light cruisers, preceded by C-class, succeeded by Emerald-class. Laid down by Armstrong Whitworth on 1 December 1916, launched on 26 January 1918, commissioned on 22 July 1918, decommissioned on 4 October 1944, handed over to the Polish navy and renamed ORP Conrad on 4 October 1944, decommissioned and recommissioned in British Royal Navy on 28 September 1946, decommissioned on 22 January 1948, sold on 22 January 1948 and on 27 March started her breaking up.
2. Built under the Twelfth War Programme, ordered on 9 April 1917, laid down by Hawthorn Leslie on 6 December 1917, launched on 21 October 1918, commissioned in 1919 and sunk in a Japanese airattack on Colombo, Ceylon on 5 April 1942. Part of Admiraly S-class destroyers preceded by R and W-classes succeeded by modified W-class.
