Japanese cargo ship (ex-Standard 1903-1906, Fukushu Maru 1906-1938) Hukusyu Maru 1938-1942

Built by Framnes Mek. Vaerks, Sandeford, Norway in 1903 and sunk by the American submarine USS Pollack in 1942. Gross tonnage 1,455 tons, under deck 1,335 tons, net tonnage 989 tons, deadweight 2,325tons and as dimensions 237.1 x 34.2 x 192 x 8.6 (light)-17.4 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, 138 nhp, coal bunker capacity 237 tons, range 3,500 nautical miles/8.5 knots and speed 8.5 (normal) cruising-10 (maximum) knots.
