Preliminary design for an American flight deck cruiser (CF) dated 8 December 1939

Prepared for the General Board as a final effort to developed such cruiser. Standard displacement 12,000 tons with a length (waterline) of 640 feet. Armament 1x3-20.32cm/8” and 4x2-12.7cm/5” cal 38 guns.
